General Questions About Arena Care

What is Arena Care?

Arena Care is an advanced primary care and multi-specialty private practice medical office with locations in Boston, Woburn, and Plymouth, Massachusetts. We offer a wide range of services including primary care, urgent and same-day express visits, specialty care, functional medicine, a structural airway clinic, weight loss programs, IV infusion therapy, telemedicine, and more. Our team of board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialist providers works collaboratively to deliver personalized, high-quality care.

Where is Arena Care located?

Arena Care has three locations. Our main office is at 50 Congress Street, Suite 620, Boston, MA 02109, in the heart of downtown Boston. Our Woburn location is at 400 West Cummings Park, Suite 4800, Woburn, MA 01801. Our Plymouth location is at 116 Court Street, Suite 6, Plymouth, MA 02360. We also offer telemedicine services for patients throughout Massachusetts who prefer virtual care. If you have a telemedicine visit, please check with your insurance plan in advance to confirm that telemedicine visits are covered under your plan, as some plans do not cover telemedicine appointments.

What are your hours of operation?

All locations are open Monday through Friday. Extended hours are available by appointment only. The Woburn and Plymouth offices operate by appointment only. For urgent visits, please call ahead at +1 (617) 513-8568.

Is Arena Care a private practice?

Yes. Arena Care is a private practice medical office, not a large hospital system or corporate clinic. That distinction matters because it means more time with your provider, more personalized care, and a team that gets to know you over time rather than starting from scratch at every visit.

How do I contact Arena Care?

You can reach our team by phone, text, or WhatsApp at +1 (617) 513-8568, or by email at care@arenahealth.org. For clinical and medical inquiries, please use the patient portal at pp-wfe-100.advancedmd.com/143255/account/logon. For non-urgent questions or to book an appointment, you can also use our online scheduling system.

Booking & Appointments

How do I book an appointment at Arena Care?

Appointments can be booked online through our patient scheduling portal at pp-wfe-101.advancedmd.com/146599/onlinescheduling. You can also call or text our office at +1 (617) 513-8568 to schedule by phone. Both in-person visits at our Boston, Woburn, and Plymouth locations and telemedicine appointments are available.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes. Arena Care offers same-day and express visit appointments for patients who need to be seen promptly. Please call ahead at +1 (617) 513-8568 to confirm same-day availability. Arena Care is a private practice medical office, not a traditional urgent care clinic, which means your same-day visit takes place within the context of a full-service practice with continuity of care.

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes. Arena Care is currently accepting new patients at all three locations. Whether you are new to the area, recently insured, or looking for a higher level of care than your current provider offers, our team is ready to help you get started. Book your first appointment at pp-wfe-101.advancedmd.com/146599/onlinescheduling.

How do I access the patient portal?

The Arena Care patient portal is available at pp-wfe-100.advancedmd.com/143255/account/logon. Through the portal you can communicate with your care team, access visit summaries, review lab results, and manage your appointments. For clinical and medical inquiries, please use the portal rather than email to ensure the privacy and security of your health information.

Our Services

What services does Arena Care offer?

Arena Care offers a comprehensive range of services under one roof, including primary care, same-day and express visits, specialty care, functional medicine, a structural airway and TMJ clinic, nephrology, medically supervised weight loss, IV infusion therapy, telemedicine, clinical research programs, athletic performance check-up evaluations, and executive health check-up evaluations. We also offer courses and education programs and an advanced fellowship program.

What is functional medicine?

Functional medicine is a systems-based approach to healthcare that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of disease rather than managing symptoms in isolation. It is particularly well-suited to patients managing chronic conditions, those who feel generally unwell without a clear diagnosis, or anyone who wants a more thorough and individualized approach to their health. Arena Care offers functional medicine as part of an integrated private practice. Learn more at arenacare.org/copy-of-specialty-care.

What is the Arena Care structural airway clinic?

Arena Care's structural airway clinic is a specialized program that addresses breathing disorders, airway dysfunction, sleep-related airway issues, and TMJ conditions through a multidisciplinary approach. The clinic brings together ENT, orthodontic, and medical collaboration to address the structural root causes of airway and breathing dysfunction. This is not a sleep clinic in the traditional sense. It is a clinically integrated program designed to treat the underlying structural issues that drive many sleep and breathing problems. Learn more at arenacare.org/copy-of-arena-express-care.

Does Arena Care offer telemedicine?

Yes. Arena Care offers telemedicine services for patients throughout Massachusetts. Virtual appointments are available for a range of conditions and care needs, including follow-up visits, prescription management, mild illness, and general medical consultations. To book a virtual appointment, visit pp-wfe-101.advancedmd.com/146599/onlinescheduling or learn more at arenacare.org/telehealth. If you have a telemedicine visit, please check with your insurance plan in advance to confirm that telemedicine visits are covered under your plan, as some plans do not cover telemedicine appointments.

Does Arena Care offer weight loss programs?

Yes. Arena Care offers medically supervised weight loss programs designed to address the metabolic, hormonal, and behavioral factors that influence body weight over time. Our programs are clinically grounded and tailored to the individual, not a one-size-fits-all approach. Learn more at arenacare.org/weightloss.

Preparing for Your Visit

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card, a complete list of current medications and dosages, and any relevant medical records or recent lab results you have access to. If you have a specific concern you want to address, writing it down beforehand helps ensure nothing gets overlooked during your visit. If you currently see any specialists, having their contact information available is also helpful.

Do I need to fast before my appointment?

Fasting may be required if your provider plans to order specific blood tests, such as fasting glucose or lipid panels. If you are unsure whether fasting is required for your visit, please check with our team when scheduling. We will let you know in advance so you can prepare accordingly.

How do I transfer my medical records to Arena Care?

You can request your medical records from your previous provider and share them with our team through the patient portal or by bringing copies to your first appointment. Our staff can also assist with the records transfer process if needed. Having your prior records available helps your new provider build a more complete and accurate picture of your health history from the first visit.

Emergency & After Hours

What should I do in a medical emergency?

If you or someone else is experiencing a medical emergency, call 9-1-1 immediately or go to your nearest emergency room. Arena Care is not an emergency facility. For urgent but non-emergency situations during business hours, please call our office at +1 (617) 513-8568 so we can advise on the appropriate next step.

Can I reach a provider after hours?

After-hours appointments are available by appointment only. For medical emergencies outside of office hours, please call 9-1-1 or go to your nearest emergency room.
